The End of Vendetta. (Has the site died?)
I'm curious if any of the Vendetta team ever checks in to the site, or if any of the remaining pieces of material left from past shooting will be offered for download? Since there's been no activity in some time (haven't noticed any recent posts by the team) I'm guessing that the final product has already been completed, and what we see is what we get?

I can understand though if this is the case. Why mess with perfection? It looks like the Rev is busy with his book and the others either live in different locations or have already moved on to bigger and better things.

Great Job on both Episodes though guys(and girls). I always make sure to watch this shit every December and always find new people to turn it on to.

Vendetta is definately the Lord of the Rings of independant video. (Maybe not but hey.. I call it as I see it)

Good luck to you all in your future endeavors!

ps. I really didn't like the part where Ghandi was beating the shit out of that elf. That was just wrong dude. (However, when the chief flicked his cigarette butt and hit her in the nose.. that was hella funny so it balanced out)

Re: The End of Vendetta. (Has the site died?)
Hey -- good to hear from the fans!

Dead is such a dirty word. Much like the characters in Vendetta, the site may have no signs of life left, but it is certainly not "dead".

More specifically, I don't think there will be another episode of Vendetta anytime in the forseeable future. We told the story we wanted to tell, and But we _do_ want to put up better looking versions of the current episodes. Better picture, better sound. Those should come fairly soon. We'd also like to offer a DVD, but I have to look into the legality of that. We may also actually put up some of the behind-the-scenes photos that we've been claiming would be "coming soon" for the past four years. They do actually exist :)

Aside from Vendetta, we will post various other creative projects as they are completed.

Anyways -- thanks for the compliments. We appreciate the fine taste of classy folks like yourselves :)

Hey Jon!

Thanks for the response! I swung through to check things out and noticed the reply.. kinda blew me away! hehe =P

Great chemistry between you and the Rev. I've got a couple quick questions for ya if you don't mind. (They won't ruin the mystique..promise!) The Q's are from myself and many other people who have viewed and love your art.

Did either you or the Rev take drama in highschool?

In your opinion, which Hollywood actor do you feel helped influence your acting style? How would you influence them if you could meet them?

List 3 of your favorite movie producers with reasons why you feel they maintain marketable continuity.

Seriously now, that vending machine coffee which dispenses into those "Joker Poker" cups tastes like crap doesn't it? If "Vendetta" became a major production would you consider using "Starbucks" cup props instead, or would you consider that as "Selling Out?"

In Vendetta there is a scene within a parking garage where each character is pointing a gun at the others head. Mrs. Claus flashes back to a previous incident where she ends up on the ground with another woman screaming in her face the words, "I will feast on your ASS!" Which person involved with the film thought of this brilliant line? Is that woman a lesbian?

You can opt out of any or all of the questions if you wish. =)

Best wishes to you and your family. Stay safe, happy, and healthy.

It'll be fun to see how long we can keep this conversation going with four months between each post.

Did either you or the Rev take drama in highschool?

Not really, though we both did take part in much creative stuff. I played the captian in "HMS Pinafore" in junior high. We spent a good amount of time messing around in the video lab. We produced a couple music videos, albums, and a sketch variety show for local cable. We were mild pranksters.

In your opinion, which Hollywood actor do you feel helped influence your acting style? How would you influence them if you could meet them?

I didn't know I had an acting style. But if I had to site an influence it would probably be Ron Jeremy. If I could influence him it would be to convince him to leave the porn industry and let me take his place.

List 3 of your favorite movie producers with reasons why you feel they maintain marketable continuity.

I don't think much about producers -- I'm more apt to follow directors. Favorites? I've been impressed by many including Stanley Kubrick, Terry Gilliam, Jeun-Peirre Juenet, David Fincher, Alfonso Curon, Ridley Scott, Danny Boyle, etc. Basically I'm into storytellers who don't dumb things down for the audience. Of course, Vendetta is as dumb as it gets, so I probably sound like a fool saying that :)

Seriously now, that vending machine coffee which dispenses into those "Joker Poker" cups tastes like crap doesn't it?

Oh god yes. The disgusted facial expressions we made were not acting. In fact we did our best not to look like we were going to puke, but just couldn't help ourselves.

If "Vendetta" became a major production would you consider using "Starbucks" cup props instead, or would you consider that as "Selling Out"?

No way. Got to stay true to character, and Derrickson and McKeegan would never drink that frou-frou yuppie crap.

Mrs. Claus flashes back to a previous incident where she ends up on the ground with another woman screaming in her face the words, "I will feast on your ASS!" Which person involved with the film thought of this brilliant line? Is that woman a lesbian?

Though I directed and edited much of the film, most of the script was written by the Smith brothers. However, that one scene -- and indeed that line -- was penned by me.

And yes, I am a lesbian.

Best wishes to you and your family. Stay safe, happy, and healthy.

Same to you!

Jonathan
